How do you ship internationally and what is the ordering process?
Contact our support team for pricing and to confirm your shipping route, then send your parcels to our warehouse. Once they arrive, we verify the items, take photos, reinforce and repack them, and confirm the freight. You simply pay once everything checks out.
What should I do after my parcel arrives at the warehouse?
Once the warehouse receives and books in your parcel, open the GuangSuMao mini program and check the "Parcels in storage" section to confirm everything has arrived. Select the orders you want to combine, tap "Submit for packing", then fill in the destination country, address and route. If your items need to travel on different routes, submit them separately. Packing usually takes under 4 hours, after which you pay the freight on the "Unpaid orders" page and the shipment is dispatched.
What is consolidation shipping and how is it different from plain forwarding?
Consolidation = collection + storage + free inspection photos + removal of excess packaging + combined packing + dispatch. The point is to cut volume and weight so you pay less. Plain forwarding just receives your parcels and ships them on unchanged - no re-packing and no inspection. With GuangSuMao your parcels are combined into one shipment so you pay the first-weight charge only once.
What You Can Ship
High-risk items
Some sensitive items (designer brands, medicines, cosmetics, etc.) carry roughly a 1% chance of customs seizure, which may lead to return, fines or confiscation, at the customer's own risk. Please read carefully before shipping.
What items are strictly prohibited?
Firearms and ammunition, controlled knives, flammable or explosive goods, narcotics, live animals and plants, fresh meat, currency and negotiable securities are never accepted — these are prohibited from import and export by law. The warehouse inbound inspection is final. If you are unsure about an item, check with customer service before you ship it.
Can I ship sensitive goods like batteries, cosmetics or food?
Yes, but they must travel on the dedicated sensitive-goods line and cannot be mixed with ordinary cargo. Built-in batteries, power banks, cosmetics, supplements and dry food each have their own channel, with different transit times and rates. Declare the item name accurately — the warehouse matches it to an available line. If customs seizes the parcel because of under-declaration, the loss is the customer's.
Pricing & Payment
Freight calculation
International express is charged on the greater ofactual weightandVolumetric wt.. Volumetric weight = L × W × H ÷ 5000 in KG for express (DHL/UPS/FEDEX/TNT) and ÷ 6000 for air, truck, rail and sea lines. Volumetric weight is measured at our warehouse on arrival; contact us in advance if you would like a third-party witness present at the weighing.
Can I estimate the freight before ordering? How is it calculated?
Yes. Use the calculator on our Routes page - enter the destination country and weight to see pricing for every route. Chargeable weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight: volumetric weight = L x W x H (cm) / 5000 for express services, or / 6000 for air, truck, rail and sea dedicated lines. The final figure is based on the warehouse's measured weight.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept WeChat Pay, Alipay and other common methods (whatever the mini program shows at checkout). Once your parcel arrives and packing is finished, the system creates an unpaid order - check the freight breakdown on the "Unpaid orders" page and pay. Please confirm all items are present before paying; after payment the parcel is dispatched on the route you selected.
Packing & Storage
How does the warehouse pack my parcel by default? Will you open my original packaging?
While keeping your goods safe, the warehouse removes the extra boxes, bags and filler from the domestic delivery and repacks everything into one shipment to reduce volume and weight as much as possible. To verify there are no prohibited items, the warehouse is entitled to open and inspect parcels (using the service means you accept this). If you want the original packaging kept or have other requirements, note them in the remarks field and we will follow them.
Do you inspect my goods? Can I get photos?
Yes, and it is free. When your parcel arrives we open and inspect it, then take several high-resolution photos while packing so you can verify quantity, colour and size before you confirm dispatch. This greatly reduces the chance of receiving damaged, wrong or missing items. Contact support if you need a more detailed inspection.
How long can you store my parcels for free?
GuangSuMao gives you 180 days of free storage, so you can shop at your own pace and consolidate everything into one shipment instead of paying freight in a rush. Parcels left past the free period may incur a storage fee or be disposed of under warehouse policy. If you need longer, talk to customer service first.
How many parcels can I consolidate, and what saves the most?
There is no hard cap — the more parcels you combine, the more you save on base weight and volume. The cheapest approach: have the warehouse strip excess shoe boxes, cartons and filler first, then compress everything into a single box. Volumetric weight usually costs more than actual weight, so shrinking volume beats trimming weight. Valuable, fragile, or separately declared items are better packed in their own box.
Are there size or weight limits for oversized pieces?
Yes. Every line has a per-piece weight and dimension cap (some small-parcel lines cap at 10KG). Over-length, over-width or over-height pieces may incur a surcharge, or be refused entirely. For furniture, appliances or gym equipment, use a heavy-cargo line and send us the dimensions in advance — we will match a line and quote accurately on the measured data.
Tracking
Transit times
Normally the tracking number is issued the same day your parcel is received, sometimes the next day. Reference transit times are given in working days and exclude weekends and public holidays. Delays caused by external factors such as courier backlogs, severe weather, inspections or customs may occur — thank you for your understanding.
How do I check my domestic courier tracking number? Has my parcel arrived?
Send your parcels to the warehouse address we provide (it includes your customer ID). The warehouse collects and books them in, and you can see them under "Parcels in storage" in the mini program. If the domestic courier shows delivered but the system has not booked it in yet, the warehouse is usually still processing it - please allow a little time. If it is still missing after 1 working day, contact support immediately so we can trace it.
How do I track the international leg? How is it different from the domestic number?
After dispatch you will find the carrier tracking number (UPS, DHL and so on) under "Shipped orders" - use it to follow the full international journey. The M number is your consolidation order number and shows the overall status of receipt, packing and dispatch. Both are searchable on our "Track" page, and they show different levels of detail.
My parcel shows as delivered - why is it not in the system yet?
The warehouse books in and shelves parcels within 4 hours of signing for them; public holidays may add a short delay. If it still shows as not received after 1 working day, contact support promptly - it may mean a lost domestic parcel or a wrong address/customer ID, and the sooner we know the easier it is to recover.
Customs, Duties & Support
Will I be charged customs duty, and who pays it?
Whether duty applies depends on the destination country's customs policy and the declared value. Most of our dedicated lines are tax-inclusive, so nothing extra is normally due. If customs selects a parcel and assesses duty, it is usually paid by the recipient to the local carrier. GuangSuMao does not collect duty in advance — the destination customs authority has the final say.
How should I fill in the declared value? Can I declare lower?
Declare the actual purchase amount. Under-declaring risks being treated as misdeclaration if the parcel is inspected — fines, confiscation or return shipment, all at the customer's cost. Over-declaring simply means paying more duty than necessary. Write specific item names too ("3 cotton T-shirts", not "clothing") — this measurably reduces inspection rates.
Do I need to provide ID for customs clearance?
Some destinations and lines (for example Taiwan, China, and South Korea) require the recipient's ID to be filed with customs. The checkout page will tell you when it is needed and let you upload it. ID details are used only for clearance and never for anything else. Contact customer service if you are unsure whether your line requires it.
Can I change the delivery address after dispatch?
Before dispatch you can change it any time. After dispatch it depends on the carrier and the current stage: some lines support redirect-in-transit, usually for a fee, and parcels already in the destination country are hard to reroute. Double-check the recipient name, address, phone and postal code when you submit packing instructions — and if something is wrong, contact customer service immediately. The earlier you act, the better the odds.
Can I return a parcel or have it sent back? How?
Yes. Before dispatch you can request a return to a domestic address through the mini program; the warehouse repacks and ships it back and domestic return freight applies. Once shipped, the parcel follows the destination country's return process and international return freight is the customer's cost. Contact customer service first to confirm the fees and which lines support returns.
Loss and damage
If you find anything missing or damaged on delivery, contact the local delivery company immediately or refuse the parcel, and let us know. Our after-sales team will do everything possible to help with the claim.
Compensation
Warehouse-caused loss or customs seizure without pickup: full compensation (up to RMB 1,000) or a freight refund (RMB 40/kg for air, RMB 20/kg for other lines). Final-mile loss, partial loss, or loss on return to the overseas warehouse: handled per the final-mile carrier's compensation standard, up to USD 100, plus a freight refund. Conditions: declared value capped at RMB 1,000; gold, silver, jewellery and jade and other export-restricted goods are excluded; loss claims require valid proof of value (invoice or order); partial loss requires photos of the outer packaging and contents at delivery; seller under-shipment and customs seizure are not covered.
